I love Mickey Mouse more than any woman I have ever known.
Walt Disney

Maybe because it’s January or perhaps because I rarely get to see any sunlight (9-5:30pm kind of job) I noticed I started wearing annoying amounts of black. I am very much a give-me-colours person, so charcoal is not my charm.

Infuriated by cries of my own fashion anguish, I prescribed myself an irreverent look to sedate my somewhat irked senses. Funny fluffy Mickey or Minnie ears, mixed with a rather glamorous vintage coat I got off vinted.co.uk and spectacularly stunning tights from Tia all added to the lighthearted base of otherwise serious fashion items including Christian Louboutin boots and my Chanel clutch bag.

This outfit proves a very important point for us all to note down: style is cheaper than therapy. It’s still January doom out there but I am delightfully rejuvenated.

  1. I agree 1000 %! Color, whimsy, and fun style is the best therapy, as is the shopping for the aforementioned items in that category! I adore that glam coat, and am chuckling at the hat, how you pull it off so that it is chic and not juvenile.
You do have great style that i greatly admire!!!!!
    Love the bag, of course,
and I have the very same booties in metallic grey,
a bit tough to wear, but they do great things to my legs!
    Love the lace stockings, too,

Minnie looks like a queen! 😉

  2. This is a beautifully elegant look on you and those Louboutin boots are to die for! I love my Louboutins, however they are not boots and so impractical for the cold weather.. which is of course a pity! Oh and I also love your fur coat 🙂

So yea, I’m a big fan of this look!

  4. That last line you said is so true– style should give you a reason to want to leave the world in terrible weather because you’re so excited about your outfit! You look absolutely marvelous– i’ve told you this before, but I absolutely love your style. It’s so glamorous and rich!

    Happy weekend my friend!
