And then one day you wake up and feel swallowed by darkness. You look at the clock and no, it’s not an ungodly hour, your alarm didn’t get it wrong, the world has simply refused to light up. Fall has come and turned all the colours into constant greyness.

You can feel it in the air – the chilly breeze that wakes you up quicker than any Arabica, the extra layer of clothing that you have to throw on, and of course the rediscovery of the colour black. All of the sudden, black becomes the new black yet again and the joyous hues you wore only a few weeks ago seem like faux passes of last summer’s naivety.

And there I stood in calm shades of beige and ivory resisting to look at my watch and see that it has just gone fall o’clock. I generally dislike feminine watches, but manly time-tellers I like. It’s my quiet form of rebellion.

Ah yes, the final breezy outdoor outfit before coats, knitwear and scarves kick in. Let me linger in the moment.

UPDATE: Daniel Wellington wanted to treat all pret-a-reporter readers and give a 15 per cent discount on all watches (and wristbands) sold on danielwellington.com until Friday, the 12th of October. If you see a watch you fancy, remember to type in “pret-a-reporter” in the promotion field when making your purchase – this will enable the discount. Happy shopping!

  1. Очень красивые фотографии! Несмотря, что они сделаны сейчас, смотрятся очень по-летнему. А реклама часов фирмы Daniel Wellington сделана очень профиссионально!

  2. I know, I felt it too. Suddenly summer ran away and autumn took over and that while officially it still had to be warm and sunny :(.
You look smashing, as ever, and rich as well. Louis Vuitton? Louboutin? Rosée gold? I’m not sure if I can afford a prize for you ;).

    1. NBI,
Rich? That’s hilarious 😀 Let’s just say I worked very hard to treat myself to these pieces. My secret is that I buy clothes very seldom but when I do, I get something I really, really like.
That’s why I repeat pieces very often but with different combinations. It gives the illusion that my wardrobe is full of stuff when in reality I just have some items which I wholeheartedly love 🙂 And that’s my secret. BOOM.

  3. There is a touch of Hollywood glamour in this post I feel! I know this bridge well, what a lovely place for a photoshoot. You are right that we need to savor the last bit of the summer before the nights start to draw in. This is a lovely look to celebrate and in the most stylist way of course. I love how the soles of those shoes stand out against the rest of the (neutral) outfit. Gorgeous.

  4. Wow, you look stunning dear!!! I know i’ve said this before but seriously, your photos look like the came out from the magazine spreads:) You look sooo elegant and i love that LV bag, the size is so cute!!!

Just wondering, what camera do you use to take these gorgeously and professionally looking photos?:)

Take care for now! Oh and i’m finally back from Europe so stay tuned for upcoming posts, hehe

    1. Oh welcome back, Cinz! There are quite a few cameras used on this blog. From the basic Leica lens, through to 2 Canon models (not sure about the numbers), to Nikon D80.

I don’t have just one photographer – I am lucky to have a few volunteers!

  5. Okay, you ready? WOW WOW WOW!! Can you get any more beautiful? These photos are ridiculously stunning! We all know you rock in everything you put on, but I did not realize how talented you are with your words. Serious talent!
