Biba’s decadent Art Deco style truly speaks to me: it’s grand, oozes elegance and instantly makes you look as if you’ve just stepped out of a VIP soirée. All this, and you are just wearing a coat! The rumours are true, I’ve morphed into the ultimate Biba girl.

I wanted to take this look up one level. Irresistible Me, a one stop online shop for all things hair, has recently sent me some truly fabulous hair accessories to add to my styling. I no longer wonder why royalty dons crowns and tiaras. Wearing hair jewellery added a head-turning accent to my overall look, and the details of this piece made my outfit pretty unique.

To sum up, the only things I am wearing are a coat and a hair pin. But these two things made me feel as if I am wearing the most luxurious of couture gowns. This goes to show that it’s definitely not what you wear that counts, it’s how an outfit makes you feel. And I felt sensational.

When it comes to Dorotea P London’s designs, they are kites. They are extremely structured, yet they lightly fly when touched by the wind, just like Churchill said.

When the photographer is the designer herself, there’s a different air to the post altogether. It’s like me in the images, only better. I am not surprised; someone who is as talented and kindhearted as Dorotea can only bring out what’s the best in people.

Apparently my left leg is what’s the best in me.

On a serious note, her Autumn/Winter 2015-16 collection, where this kaftan is from, does not follow any trends. It doesn’t set them either. Instead it inspires a cult. A cult of you, the wearer. You mould the pieces because your body enhances them. You interpret them on your own terms, in your own time.

I was simply obsessed with the idea of wearing sneakers with a floaty silk dress. Because I am a true doer, I converted my fantasy into reality this LFW and rolled up in a demi couture gown by Omar Mansoor and my ombre red to burgundy Nikes.

I am yet to meet a fashion lover who isn’t partial to dresses which synchronise and dance with the wind. It doesn’t matter if you are shooting from the latest Nikon DSLR or from an old iPhone, they always look very magazine editorial-y. Of course, just an evening gown wouldn’t do, I needed an unexpected punch and the sneakers worked perfectly.

I wasn’t the only one who thought the outfit worked. I was lucky enough to get papped and end up being the street style cover girl on Yahoo Lifestyle. More in my press section.

Every photoshoot on this blog is a trip. It’s not necessarily geographic or physical. I am not necessarily the one who travels. Fashion in this post is not the main character. A journey is.

I have been extraordinarily blessed that during photoshoots I meet the most spectacular people. Folk, who show support without originally intending it, they are just there at the right place at the right time.

I sent John Stratford on a trip this day. A beautiful tenor randomly approached Ahmed and I saying how our little shoot sent him back to the day when his modelling career was at its peak, and that every Carnaby Street boutique was hungry for his look. He spoke to us of his beautiful life, asked us to listen to his fantastic tenor and then wished us a great day. It was just an act of genuine human interaction.

I got very emotional after this happened, I was so overwhelmed with joy that I made his day by just doing what I love. It’s a rare thing, strangers being kind to each other for no reason. It’s sad that I find it a wholehearted blessing what is supposed to be the norm.

But not all of us are sentimental. You came here for fashion, and here it is. These images display a tough chic aesthetic juxtapositioned with princess-like tulle, angelic jewellery and builder’s-dream-neon-yellow pumps. Picture the cast of Gossip Girl getting particularly well on with the cast of Sons of Anarchy – this is what this outfit is all about.
