Whilst on the topic of Middle Eastern women and their style ventures, I absolutely have to mention Sheikha Mozah bint Nasser Al Missned, the wife of Qatar’s emir, who has recently bought Harrods from Mohamed al Fayed.
It’s probably worth mentioning that she is the second of three wives and has seven children, no more no less.
HH Sheikha has started appearing on the fashion radar due to her consistent personal style – a variety of outfits always teamed with a matching turban.
She made it work.
In addition, the Guardian reported Julien Macdonald as saying: “not since Jackie O has any first lady had such global resonance in terms of fashion”.
The top British designer also admitted that he would love to dress her, adding: “her personal style is rich with power and confidence, yet retains a real femininity that many women aspire to.”
Did he just say rich? Surely it is, seen as it is mostly couture thus not so easy to replicate. Until of course Zara or TopShop get on the case producing “inspired” looks.
But for now here are a few pieces from Sheikha Mozah’s wardrobe:

I love your blog in EVERY way. Read many articles, and love your views, how well informed you are, and your inspiration points.
Its not often you find a girl who appreciates fashion, but its not blinded by the bling.
Thumbs up.
