“One pill makes you larger
And one pill makes you small
And the ones that mother gives you
Don’t do anything at all
Go ask Alice
When she’s ten feet tall”

Jefferson Airplane – White Rabbit

The National UK Blog Awards 2015 was a surreal experience – as trippy as the Jefferson Airplane song cited above. I turned up only to chat with fellow bloggers and brands as well as generally soak up the atmosphere. Never, in a million years, have I expected I would be going home with an award. You can only imagine how speechless I was to get on the stage to accept the Young Person’s Recognition Award from judges Christopher Walkey, CEO of Marketme.co.uk and Mike Ruffles, Content and Social Media Manager at Virgin StartUp. Thank you, wholeheartedly.

The Montcalm Hotel was fully transformed into Wonderland, complete with its own Cheshire Cat. Lewis Carroll would be proud. Needless to say that in my Jeffrey Campbell Stud Litas, I did look like Alice, when she was ten feet tall. That was my contribution to the theme.

It was amazing to stand next to bloggers who I admire: Liza of Gem-a-porter, Faya of FitnessOnToast and Nic from Nic’s Nutrition – do check them out if you are looking for inspiration.

Being nominated in the first place and the ultimate award are huge accomplishments for me. I guess, at heart I am still lost in Wonderland because I can’t believe this actually happened. Thank you everyone who supports and reads this blog. I promise, the tea parties will only get trippier.
