Faux Fur Coat: c/o Biba (via House of Fraser), Jeans: H&M, Glasses: Dolce & Gabbana, Backpack: Moschino, Boots: Cesare Paciotti, Silk Scarf: Vintage (My Grandma’s)

You can pretend to be serious; but you can’t pretend to be witty.
– Sacha Guitry

It’s either yes or no, night or day, black or white. I like things that are concrete, particular and as sharp as these heels I am wearing by Cesare Paciotti. No space for grey areas here.

My straight-forward personality makes me partial to the monochrome trend, as presented by my adoration of this Biba faux fur coat. I am not sure anything can look more Chelsea than this black and white ensemble, propelled by the fuzziness and leather sleeves of this winter warmer. For a little moment, I felt posh.

This is why I immediately needed to mix in a hint of East London to this otherwise totally South Kensington outfit. I did that by adding a backpack and some retro-futuristic accessories such as this spotted scarf (thanks grandma!) and dotted sunnies by Dolce & Gabbana. This made the look much more fun and a lot less aloof. After all, why so serious?
