Isn’t Israel something? A place so beautiful it hurts. It taught me quite a few things but mostly to slow the fuck down. I am not going to go all hippie philosopher on you but I am going to tell you this, living the moment is so much more important than capturing it and uploading to Instagram. I travelled around Israel for two weeks and I didn’t end up taking too many images (literally just a few more than I posted here) simply because I absorbed every experience like a sponge. I really and truly enjoyed lingering in the moment, allowing myself to feel grateful, surprised, appreciated, biting and chewing slowly instead of an instant swallow – the latter is something the workforce and educational facilities trained me to do: quantity AND quality AND quickly. Faster, Edita, faster. Israel got me out of the sausage machine and back to basics; to inhale, exhale and enjoy all that’s right here and right now.
I ended up wearing this Kain dress for most of my stay, it’s perfect in its simplicity, requires zero thought and gives you the possibility to mould it into whatever you want. In the previous post it’s styled to look like a glamorous evening dress, here it plays the role of a functional basic – a must-have when absorbing high-levels of otherworldly beauty that is the landscape of the Promised Land.
I prefer not to touch any political or religious subjects but I am going to say one thing: the sight of the Wailing Wall, the most beautiful mosque right next to it along with stunning historical churches all around the Old City Jerusalem make for a gorgeous and peaceful sight.

Lisa – AT LEAST BLOG
Thanks so much Lisa 🙂
a quiet piano plays in my background while i absorb every photo here and feel your written thoughts… my soul quivers and long to be there… in due time i say to myself… thank you Edi, thank you. Love… J
And you shall – I am pleased I bring you a taster – it is then your turn to get the full experience 🙂
I find that people in Israel are too casual for a fashion scene. They don’t dress up so when they go to a European country, they are interested by the way people dress and when they come to London, fascinated that how everyone dresses differently. I find it strange to dress so simply there, like I’m under dressed or something. Good choice of clothing on your part and your photos are stunning
There is truth in this – fashion seems to be the last thing on the mind of Israelis. Unless you go to the his districts of Tel Aviv, where hipster meets relaxed & bogo styles are king 🙂
One word.. BEAUTIFUL!

Those earrings and rings are beautiful. The pciture with the flowers is so nice, it’s like art.
As you say living in the moment is important, especially when on a holiday. You don’t always get the chance to slow down, so you have to enjoy it while it lasts. I remember when I was in Paris, I was taking pictures all the time. Then I came home and didn’t seem to remember any of the buildings I took a picture of. What I did remember was walking through Paris while eating cherries.
So I think that creating memories is way more important than making sure you have pictures of everything, or that you have seen everything.
I’m sure it was a wonderful (and well deserved!) trip over there, it seems to be a wonderful place! I hope and believe it did you good 🙂
Thanks, A – it’s my mum’s hand!
And also – this is a sign that you need to go back to Paris and absorb it properly 🙂

They actually say that if you take tons of photos on a trip, you tend to actually just forget what you saw even though you have photographic proof that you were there. Like you don’t mentally remember everything you saw, which is so sad! I’m glad you took a break and enjoyed the gorgeous places you were staying, it looks like it was absolutely breathtaking. 😀
Always,
Mostly Lisa
That is a very good way of putting it, Lisa 🙂 Too often it is that we don’t stop and be mindful in the moment!
